It was a beautiful and enjoyable 5 days away. We
stayed at a gorgeous horse ranch, historic mansion and visited
countless State Parks. Exploring another part of our back yard
called the beautiful State of Florida. also visited the Florida
National Cemetary |
 |

Next was a visit to Silver Springs and a glass bottom boat ride.
Many movies were filmed here including "Creature from the Black
Lagoon," several "Tarzan" films, "Rebel Without a Cause," and the
James Bond movie "Moonraker," among others. |

 |
Next was Ginny Springs, very pretty and a popular
scuba diving site. Water looks very inviting b ut at year round
temperature of 72 degrees, that ain't happening!! |

I guess this is one of those Only in Florida
things. A bridge for airboats to get passed the lock.
Then, I've never had to worry about backing my
boat into a tree when launching it. Here I guess you have to!
Next we were off to Paynes Prairie State Park. |

And then a deserved soak
in the hot tub, Wendy's favorite thing! |

Our final stop was at Rainbow Springs, before
heading home. |
