Today it was another rainy and dreary day, so we decided to visit the hot spring mineral baths. Doesn't matter if it rains while you're swimming in 104 degree water!

Cost to get in was €13 each. Includes 1 1/2 hours, towel and locker. The water has a very high iron content so everything looks rusted and you better not wear any jewelry, especially gold.

We had to go back to Furnas for this as the day we were there was a Sunday and it was jam packed. But its only a 30 minute drive.

We went to another garden in Furnas that had some hot springs, but it was half under construction and the rain came pouring down so we quit after one picture.  Not to mention the bloke wanted to charge us €10 just to take a picture.  Rub a lamp dude!

Next was a visit to a beautiful church built in the 1700's on top of a hill with a zig zag staircase leading to it. If you look carefully at the rainbow picture, you can see the church at the top of the hill in the middle of the rainbow.

Speaking of rainbows, they sure are pretty over here.

Viagens para o ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo. Verão 2022, horários e preços. - I Love Azores

I took a picture of this island in the rain. Just looks like a typical rock island, but it is not. The aerial pic on the right shows you what's inside! It is actually a submerged volcano and has a black sandy beach boaters can anchor off.

And finally...

Join me for a 1 minute video of what it is like to drive through a typical Azorean village with the narrow streets and houses right on the street without even a sidewalk!

Tomorrow is our last full day.  :'(
